The name "Grey Lady" comes from the nickname for the often-foggy island for which it is brewed. This hazy, Belgian-style Wit emits a complex, earthy nose with sophisticated notes. The sift, malty mid-palate has wicked good zesty hints but gives way to a delectably dry finish. Quenching!

Can - looks pretty good - hazy gold with a frothy head - very dry and kind of uncommon for a wit - it’s a spiced wheat, all right, but it tastes like sage, clove, white pepper - not much else going on character wise aside from the strong spice character - meh.

Sampled @ GBBF. Bottle shared. Hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste are a bit weird, lightly grainy, wheat, yeasty, slightly bitter, a weird kind of herbal fruitiness. Hmm, don’t really like it. Drinkable though.

Bottle at GBBF 2014. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The nose is grainy, spicy, wheat, toilet cleaner, ginger and cereal. The taste is crisp, bitter, mild acidity, ginger, pepper, grainy, cereal, wood and straw with a dry, spicy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. One-dimensional and spicy. No good..

Bottle. Strong lavender/coriander and wheat malt aroma. Pale yellow with small head. Lightly sweet lavender, lemon, and wheat malt flavor. Not horrible - strong floral presence.

On tap at the Cisco Brew Pub, Boston Logan Airport. A strange luminous grapefruit colour with a soft white head; aroma of cream soda with a dash of lime; soft grainy textrure with a sweet citrus taste; the finish is rather thin and dry, but has some lingering sweet lemonade. A refreshing wheat beer.

Pour is a hazy green-yellow with a small white head. Aroma is citrus bitter with a big ginger. Flavor is some lemon-lime with more of the ginger. Finish is bitter and soapy. Not really a wit, more like spiced blonde ale. This has a few good things going for it but also a few bad.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a glass. Pours hazy light orange with small white head. Aroma is coriander, medium/light body, medium carbonation, and little small lacing. Taste is coriander, some graininess, and some orange. Just below average for me.

Rating from 2010. Vielen Dank an Micha! Das Bier ist gelb-orange und ziemlich trüb. Sehr CO²-arm.
--> 6+9+3+6 = 6,90
