Our twist on the traditional robust American Porter, Shake Chocolate Porter is dark black in color with rich, sweet aromatics and flavors of dark chocolate, coffee and caramel. This unique brew blends five different grains, including Chocolate Wheat, that along with cacao nibs create a devilishly delicious chocolate finish with a velvety mouthfeel.

355 ml bottle @ Patricks. Clear dark brown body with a medium sized tan head. Aroma has chocolate with mild, smooth roasted malt and hint of coffee. Flavor is a bit dry, or dusty cocoa powder, smooth malt, milk chocolate, hint of coffee and low bitterness. Medium body and nice chocolate/coffee aftertaste. A nice beer that feels more like a sweet brown ale than porter.

Bottle, at Patrick’s. More or less black in colour, topped by a dense finger thick beige head. The aroma has some more vanilla than I prefer, with roasted malts, chocolate and a touch of coffee. Milk chocolate. The flavor is more coffee forward, still with chocolate in abundance. Full body and soft carbonation, rather sweet. Ever lasting chocolate and vanilla finish. Nice indeed, but demanding to drink. 151022

16oz pint at WF Fair Lakes pours a very murky, thick black with plenty of creamy beige head. Nose has a ton of chocolate and malt, wow, smells just like a milkshake. Flavor... same, boozy milk shake, chocolate malt balls. Creamy finish. One note, but very nice.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 12.10.15. Darlk brown. Pale brown. Overwhelming aroma of sweet, dark chocolate, cocoa and dessicated coconut. Similar taste, combined with moderate bitterness. Surprisingly dry, balanced and drinkable

355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.9%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Moderate tan head. Strong aroma of cocoa and chocolate, hints of coffee. Soft mouthfeel. Pleasant flavour of chocolate and mild coffee, some bittering hops in the finish. Some sweetness, but not too much. Easy drinking and enjoyable. Yummi!
