Sample at the brewpub. Pours a reddish-brown color with a medium thick light beige head that recedes gradually to a dense film. Small patches of lacing. Malt, caramel and slight hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, chocolate and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark amber with small beige head. The aroma is cocoa and nuts. Medium body, roast, dark chocolate, light finish, good.
