In 1998 the Golden Brau brand started being produced, currently being the best-sold beer in Romania. The beer has a clear appearance, with a characteristic glitter and carbon dioxide pearls, having white, dense foam leaving a lacy trace on the glass. The yellow color reflects the image of golden wheat fields in the summer heat. The carbon dioxide content creates a sensation of liveliness and coolness.

0.5 liter Austrian can from a market in Firenze. Pours gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is lightly bready with hints of noble hop. Med minus body. Flavor is bready with noble hop. More premium lager than pils, but it would serve to swill with food.

50cl can on the ferry from Starigrad to Split (bought in a supermarket near the ferry terminal). Lightly malty aroma. Pretty standard pale lager. Drinkable in the sun, but quite boring. [Backlog: Tasted 2009-06-09]

Pale yellow. Aroma is sour and grassy. Sweet, thin, and tart in the finish. All kinds of technical faults on display here.

Can, courtesy of Dedollewaitor. A clear, quite pale golden beer with an off-white head. Weak nose with some initial notes of burnt plastic. Luckily they are soon replaced by pale malts and a hint of fruityness. Boring flavor too, pale malts and some fruityness, very low on bitterness all the way. Medium to thin mouthfeel. Drinkable indeed, but utterly boring. 100814
