On draught at Ginger Man Dallas. Murky brownish-black color with a thin brown head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Roasted malt, dark chocolate and hops in the nose. Medium-bodied with flavors of burnt malt, chocolate and roast coffee. The finish is roasty with a coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sampled at the 2014 Untapped festival in Fort Worth. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of roasted malts with earthy coffee and dark grains. Flavor has some bitter coffee and bitter roasted malts and some dark grains to smooth it out.

Tap at Common Table, Dallas - deep black with a tan head - silky, smooth texture - this one has the depth and heft of an imperial stout of considerably higher strength - sweet flavors of prune, fig, chocolate, anise - balancing flavors of lightly tart acidity, red wine-like tannins - some note of smoke and a light savory character on the tail end - I loved this one.
