This Northwest style Amber Ale, named in honor of our local Cutt's Island AKA "Dead Man's" Island, displays a brilliantly clear burgundy hue, a pleasantly floral/fruity aroma, a medium body, caramel-like malt flavors, and a pleasant lingering hop bitterness. Quite assertive for an Amber Ale, Cutt's remains well balanced yet truly Northwest in its audacity.

On tap at Resonate Brewing. Pours a clear copper with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is rye and caramel. Medium body, rye, nice bitterness, resin finish, good.

On tap at McKay's Taphouse, pours a pretty clear copper amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, a little toasted caramel and some tart berry fruitiness. Flavour is robust for the style, with bready malt, toasted caramel and red berries. Bready and caramely with a slight vegetal quality on the finish. Decent.

Draft or point at Blazing Onion. Nice amber copper color with a thin oily head. Nutty grain aroma. Flavor is much of the same. Good balance. Not much I can say that hasn’t been said already. Decently refreshing and flavorful. Pretty standard for the style, but most ambers fall in that line in my opinion. They are either bad, or alright. This was alright.

Tap at Anthony’s at SeaTac. Pours Amber brown with a beige head. Malty aroma. Med body. Malty flavor; minimal hop. But it’s surprisingly tolerable. Not bad in fact

Clear dark amber with a medium sized beige head, lots of lacing. Aroma is malty, caramel and citrus. Taste of caramel and citrus
Ok, too malty for me

Draught at Seattle Tap Room (Sea-Tac Airport)
Dark amber color with small head. A good Amber Ale, balanced, with a bit of depth; caramelly, dry, with correct bitterness level; lightly nutty; clean, with no flaws (which are otherwise common in Amber Ales).
