Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a dark brown color with a medium khaki head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Roast malt, vanilla and bourbon aroma. Light to medium body with flavors of oaky vanilla, bourbon and chocolate malt. The finish is sweet with a vanilla and bourbon aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is wood, cocoa, bourbon. Medium body, roast, cocoa, wood, boozy finish, very good.
