Notro sample at the taproom. Black pour with a medium khaki head that recedes steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and chocolate. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, cocoa and coffee. The finish is creamy with a charred malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at the brewery. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of light roasted malt, chocolate, light coffee and some hints of dark fruit. Similar taste. The body was on the light side as was the bitterness.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa and cracker malt. Thin body, cocoa, cracker, light dry roast, good.
