From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, dark malty and overripe fruity. Roasted. Sweet, grassy and slight fruity. Bitter and mellow fruity. Lingering fruity. Toasted malty into the finish. Sweet and fruity finish.

On tap at the brewery. Dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of light roasted malt, nuts, cocoa and some chocolate. Similar taste. The body was on the soft side. Kind of relaxed and with a dry finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa and bread. Medium body, bready malt, cracker, light dry finish, decent.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a dark brown color with a light tan head. The aroma has some light chocolate, toast and roasted malt. The flavor is bready, lightly smoky and chocolaty. Full bodied with very little bitterness. Ok. Not picking up any of the other adjuncts.

Pours dark reddish brown with a foamy white head. Aroma of roasty malts, hints of coffee, nuts and syrup. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish with hints of nuts and syrup. Finish is sweet, stuffy and slightly roasty. Decent.

Draught (5.9%) @ Duck Foot Brewing Co, San Diego. Aroma is mild with some roadted tones and coffee. Flavour has berries, berry juice and some roasted tones. Also nuts. Clean but quite mild.
