collab with Juli Goldenberg
Juli’s recipe for 24 Golden Ale was flawless but since Stone already made 2000 barrels of it we had to mix it up a bit. First thing was to change the appearance so we added Carafa for color without astringent roast flavor. It pours black with a tan head and throws aromas of dark fruit, cinnamon and vanilla. Stone’s version was very clean, vanilla forward and dry so we increased the raisin influence and made cinnamon the dominant spice. Stone’s version makes you think of dessert while ours is a dessert. Come by and have them side by side.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is raisin, spice, vanilla bean. Medium body, vanilla, roast, cinnamon, boozy finish, very nice.
