Tap at GABF. Pours golden with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is bready malt, rye, caramel. Medium body, toast, rye, bitter finish, decent.

Full pint at Weasel Boy brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy deep, dark orange color with a thick creamy off-white head. Aroma was spicy, with notes of hops, though most of this brew’s aroma is dominated by the rye grains. Flavor was rye spice, with some nice hop character, a balanced middle-of-the-road malt character is in this one too. A touch of citrus character to it too. Very nice.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy pale yellow. Nice clean fresh perfumay aroma. Really bitter, I thought this was a double IPA. Too much personality for this lager lover. If you like IPA, ignore my numbers, this stuff is rudely on style. Very little CO2 on a soapy palate coating feel. Finish is, well, WEWWW. The bitterness really evolves on the finsih over a period of a few minutes.

On draught at the brewpub. The beer is a slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a medium off-white head that diminishes to an outer ring. Minimal lacing on the glass. Hoppy aroma with notes of spice and malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character along with notes of toasted malt and rye. Some spice in the background as well. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Above average overall.
