(tap) cloudy yellow colour with a tall yellowish head; aroma of apples; balanced flavour with a long, medium sour finish

The cider is a dull orange-yellow color. Clouded over completely. Some fizzy white bubbles kick up as the beer is poured but nothing sticks around. It looks a lot like orange juice. The aroma is very orangey with a base of apples. It sorta works, but it also smells a bit off, like soured orange juice. The taste is similar. It’s refreshing and nice, but part of me just tastes orange juice that is a bit too old. It does come close to a mimosa, and perhaps, if I liked that drink more, I’d appreciate the cider mix more. Still, it’s a funny mix of sweet and sharp flavors. The finish is a bit sticky. I’m enjoying it, but I don’t think that I’d want more than one.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is dominated by orange juice and apple juice. Not much to it other than sweet fruit juice. Pours a rather cloudy, pale yellow gold with a small, thin white head that quickly recedes and disappears. No lacing or legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with an orange citrus note dominating, but a background apple cider character present as well. Not much depth or complexity. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, not very interesting. I’m sure kids would like this, but it lacks character and complexity. Easy to drink though.

Keg at Mellow Mushroom Johnson City. Hazy orange yellow with no head. Aroma of strong orange, tart apple, mild vanilla. The taste is tart orange juice, hints of apple and vanilla. Thin bodied, mild carbonation.
