Witbier brewed with orange peel and coriander
This traditional Belgian-style white ale refreshes the body and illuminates the spirit. Brewed with malted and unmalted wheat and seasoned with coriander and sweet orange peel, Witte pours hazy, smooth and flavorful, with aromas of citrus and clove.
Crisp and refreshing on its own, it shines brightly alongside lighter fare like salads and appetizers, and serves as a perfect complement to barbecue and spicy dishes.
Enjoy a taste of the sun. Santé!

Drought. Hazy pale yellow with spongy white head, citrus aroma, sweetish citrus taste, low carbonation, medium finish. Very enjoyable and refreshing beer!

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a pale straw/light white body with no head (but it was an on tap pour, so no points missed on this one) and some light carbonation was seen rising.
The smell had some wheat with some lemon and coriander coming through very lightly, no yeast?, ok, no worries to me at least.
The taste was basically the same but added some pepper.
The palate was light and added some harshness on the tongue. It was very drinkable.
Overall, this was good for the style, and perhaps a bit on average for me, though I’m not much of a witbier kind of guy, also seemed kinda weak on the yeast.

One of the palest beers I’ve seen in a while. Was a clear light yellow, before I gave the bottle a swirl on the final pour to get those sediments where they belong. Fluffy white-white head. Smell of yeast and coriander. Taste, strikes me right off the top as quite dry. The flavour is nice yeasts, some hay and good hit of coriander, and the orange is more of a back-up flavour that comes out more in the finish than anything else. Good beer.

On tap @ Blind Tiger House. Really cloudy, well actually it's really hazy yellow golden in the glass and it has a nice small kinda islandy white top. I like the nose on this. Wheat with lots of grounded coriander seeds, orange zest, some yeast and a little bit of grounded pepper as well. Really inviting. Really refreshing to drink also. It has a light oily mouthfeel and a average soft prickling carbonation level. Fresh clean flavors, Lots of wheat, not so much coriander as the aroma lead to believe. Some banana tones here, the green kind, more peppery things, a good dash of citrus and it's a bit more bitter than I'm used to in my wits. Really tasty and refreshing though. Actually got it served with a slice of lemon on the side. Not sure what to thing of that. Is it only me or does everybody get that? 18.06.2013

Bottle: Pours clear, light, bubbly gold with a tall white head. Lemon polish aroma, grain malt. Taste is a nice blend of orange, lemon....and rather heavy-handed cloves. Pretty good, but the spicing takes away some of the citric brightness.

17.06.2013, tap @ Swift Hibernian Lounge NY:
Small creamy shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly fruity, wheat, banana, hay, yeast, grass, hints of spices. Taste is slightly dry and harsh, hay, wheat, yeast, grass, cardboard, herbs. Medium bitterness. I’d rather call this a weissbier, but it’s pretty boring really.

Bottle. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Cloudy pale yellow with a big white head. Wheaty aroma, citric and spicy with some coriander and light fruity esters. Spicy flavor, a bit sweet, with wheat, citrus and a drier finish with light tartness and a mild coriander spiciness. Medium-bodied, fluffy carbonation. A good refreshing Witbier.

From a 12 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a thick white head. Lemon-orange aroma. Crisp and refreshing. With a soft finish. A nice wit.
