cloudy orange, huge light orange to offwhite head. head is smooth and lasting. sweet malty and very fruity aroma, oranges, green grapes. flavor is sweet and fruity, with a sweet malty and very distinct hoppy bitterness to balance. Flavor is seriously very good, goes from sweet and slightly fruity to quite bitter in the end, making you thirsty so this is a quenching beer. Hits home quite close to what i personally really like. Incredible that mikkeller can keep creating world class beers in this single hop series.

2010-08-28, draught at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö, 7-5-7-4-14=37
Cloudy amber color; generous solid head, leaving behind a sticky lace. Aroma of lemon cake, followed by some oranges and caramel. The body seems bolder than its strength suggests; there is a good caramel flavor, some residual sweetness, a biscuity touch, strong bitterness (quite resiny), but also a lack of hop freshness. The final is not particularly amazing.
At the bar they tell me that the keg should be fresh enough, 2/3 months old...

Hazy amber color; creamy head. Pleasant aroma, fruity hop: apricot jam and grapefruit. Crispy and dry toffee flavor; the hop is grassy, resiny, with moderate grapefruit. The final is a bit on the harsh side, it’s a rough hop. Pleasant but tough.

From tap at Ørsted Ølbar. Pours hazy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma is peachy and mild citrusy. Light grassy to herbal touch yet dominantly peachy and light citrusy into the finish. Rather dry and slight herbal into the finish. Bone dry far finish and leathery impression.

Draft. A hazy dark golden beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma has citrusy and grassy notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of lime, hops, and hops as well as medium notes of malt and caramel, leading to a very bitter finish.

I needed a special treat for my rating number 5500 - so I picked this. A hazy dark red beer with a huge light brown head. The aroma is sweet and very hoppy, flowery, and grassy with some reminicence of grapefruit, but also hints of caramel. The flavor is sweet with a malty slightly toffeish background, which is very fast overpowered by the hops, which at first are grassy and grapefruity, but also quite quickly turn wild with loads of bitterness drying out the mouth and leaving You with a bitter grapefruity flavor that lingers for a long time. Good, but on my tastebuds maybe just over the rim, which I think in part is due to the single variety used - mix in some Cascade.

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy, dark amber with a small, creamy head. But it’s the aroma, that really makes this beer stand out. Wauw, a fantastic aroma of peach, apricot and perhaps also a citrusy touch. The body is not overly full considering the alcohol. Lightly sweet flavours of caramel malt, but it’s the fantastic Chinook hops that completely dominate this brew and also leave a considerable bitterness. 011205
