At ratebeer best pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice sweet chocolate nutty notes and coffee. Tatse is more of the nice chocolate some hazel nuts show up and a little ash.

Can at Ratebeer Best. Pours a dark brown with medium beige head. The aroma is roast, hazelnut, and cocoa. Medium body,, strong roast, dark chocolate, bitter finish, hides alcohol well, very nice.

Can @ RateBeer Best 2017. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty coffee aroma. Roasted malty coffee and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty coffee and chocolate finish.

[1/28/17] Bottle/Draught at RateBeer Best festival in Santa Rosa. Dark brown to black. Coffee, chocolate, nuts, sweet, bitter finish, ashy hint.

On tap at Modern Times, North Park. Almost black with a small tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, light roasted malt and some cocoa. Similar taste. The body was a bit thin. The finish was medium bitter.

On tap at Churchill's Pub and Grille, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out rich espresso upfront, followed by dry cocoa nibs and a little roast. Flavour is rich, with a wonderful espresso character that dominates. The coffee is just wonderful here. Delicious stuff.
