Pie Thief is our take on a Pumpkin Wheat Wine made with local, roasted pumpkin and a house made spice blend that includes cinnamon and all spice. This batch was then aged for nearly a year in Wheat Whiskey barrels to impart oaky and sweet whiskey goodness.

Bottle thanks to Dave. Pours a cloudy copper with small beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong spice, pumpkin, wood, whiskey, vanilla. Medium body, cinnamon, vanilla, pumpkin, wood, strong whiskey burn, very good.

22oz bottle thanks to Dave. Pours out a copper color sand head. Nose is fun pumpkin pie notes spice barrel notes and a nice malty sweetness. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts barrel notes and pie.

Bottle pours with a clear golden amber body that supports a thin off white head. The aroma offers up inviting pumpkin meat notes flowing into malt sweetness, a dash of caramel and then mild boozy bourbon. The taste delivers a pleasing blend of sweet malts, dash of molasses and then a load of tasty pumpkin meat. To midway the bourbon booze treatment wells up to the surface and not really adding to the experience. Solid beer with a yummy pumpkin goodness.
