Saison de Sangre

Another Buffalo Bayou brew brought from Houston by my son for us to try. Using two other Texas brewery snifters for the pour, I open the 22 oz bomber. Whoa, take it easy on the pour, just saying. I see a opaque, dusty yellow body topped with an explosive head of nearly pure white foam. Smells of yellow fruit and meadow. The taste is of a tripel, as indicated on the label, with a bit of sourness. Nectarine, apricot, field, turpentine and a touch of yellow raisin. Not quite as anticipated but let us appreciate it as presented. Decent.

On tap at Hughies. Pours a hazy orange gold with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is citrus, wheat, yeast, clove. Medium body, bubblegum, yeast, clove, pepper, dry finish, decent.
