On tap at Denver Rare Beer Tasting 8. Pours a cloudy copper with medium off white head. The aroma is strong smoke, whiskey, dark fruit, licorice, wood, vanilla. Medium body, smoke, vanilla, leather, oak, light booze finish, very nice.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting VIII on 10/07/2016. Dark reddish-orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing. Smoked malt, oak and caramel aroma. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, caramel, fruit and subtle oaky bourbon. The finish is sweet with a bourbon and smoky malt aftertaste. Above average overall.
