Bottle at Denver Rare Beer Tasting 8. Pours a hazy orange gold with small white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is candy sugar, oak, wheat, licorice. Medium body, oak, wheat wine, nice sweetness, boozy finish, very good.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting VIII on 10/07/2016. Clear golden color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of oak, wheat, fruit and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of vinous oak, malt, wheat and yeast. The finish is oaky with a wheaty and malty aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

750 ml bottle with some super thick blue wax, poured into a snifter. Clear golden orange with almost a finger of off-white head. Aromas of white wine, light oak, some booze. Tastes of caramel, wheat, white wine, light oak, some raisins, a little butterscotch. Alcohol is fairly well masked. Medium body with a dry finish. Interesting, this might be the first white wine barrel aged wheat wine I’ve had.
