I have a 16 fl oz can obtained from Half Time a couple of months ago. I believe a tulip glass is proper for this sampling, I have one from ABGB in Austin in place. The pour finds a hazy, pale gold-yellow liquid finished with a stout head of completely white foam. The scent is an attractive combination of tropical fruit, grain and meadow. The taste surpasses the nose. Guava, pineapple, malt, white bread and a bit of citrus. Sweet but not overwhelmingly so. I normally will prefer a regular imperial IPA over a hazy one but this is a surprising beer.

Lattina.

Super hazy, almost chunky straw golden coloured body with a very large, four to five centimetre tall off-white and even tan head, with the body being 99 per cent opaque. Aroma of deep oranges, lactose, vanilla, cream, hay and even some cherry candy here, too, that seems a touch on the sour side - very strong to the nose and not traditionally IPA smelling, of course. Medium to Full-bodied; Big, chewy malt and wheat bite at first with some deep citrus and full orange notes, with a lot of vanilla, lactose, cream and icing sugar notes right behind with a very faint dash of h ops and alpha acid bitterness at the end. Aftertaste is super rich with a bunch of malts and lactose here with still some pungent orange and citrus flavours and a dry-ish grassy hop bite and even some icing sugar and creamy flavours that support the hops and actually hide the alcohol pretty nicely - this tastes closer to six per cent. Overall, a nice IPA that shows Imperial Status only in the form of body and richness, but the cream, lactose and citrus fruits are nice here, as are the style considerations here - this is pure new school, New England IPA as it gets! Great to try fresh from New York via purchase in New York, New York! Get it if you can find it and have it fresh! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Union Square, 14th St), New York on 16-January-2022 for US$5,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 07-May-2022.
