The Gravedigger - mroczny i czarny Russian Imperial Stout - król wszystkich piw. Niezwykle kompleksowy trunek oferujący aromat złożony z czekolady, świeżo palonej kawy oraz wyciszonej nuty szlachetnego alkoholu. Likierowa słodycz i pełnia zostały w nim obudowane mocną w cyfrach, ale przyjemną w ustach goryczką.

Bottle, from trade with Jashiu, as part of EuroSwap, many thanks. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, coffee. Taste, strong coffee, dark chocolate, pepper in finish. Good.

Bottle at a tasting. Full bodied, oily texture, low carbonation. Lots of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, alcohol poking out too in medium-low intensity. Hints of astringency as well. Not bad, but not exactly rounded nor complex. Lots of space for improvement.

330ml Bottle - Black with a tan head. Coffee, liquorice, aniseed and plain chocolate in the aroma. Liquorice, coffee, cocoa and some slightly earthy notes feature in the taste whilst some aniseed can be detected in the finish.

Barwa niemalże czarna, lekko prześwituje, piana beżowa, umiarkowanie obfita, umiarkowanie trwała, lekko się zaznacza na szkle. W aromacie nieco czekolady i kawy, lekkie akcenty chmielowe, po ogrzaniu wychodzi likierowa nutka alkoholu i trochę ciemnych owoców. W smaku czekolada deserowa i gorzka, sporo paloności, wręcz popiołu, minimalne kakao, kawa, owoce w likierze, długi posmak paloności. Goryczka średniowysoka, trochę palona, chmielowa i alkoholowa. Po ogrzaniu wyłazi nieco alkoholu, ale przyjemnego, likierowego, rozgrzewającego przełyk. Wysycenie niskie, choć nie bardzo niskie, treść średnia. Dobrze zbalansowane i ułożone. Świetny RIS, jedyne, czego mu brakuje, aby być wybitnym, to odrobiny więcej ciała, gęstości. Dobra robota.

Bottle obtained in a trade. Pours black , very small head. Smell is roasty, rather sweet. Some oats. taste is rather bitter, some oat. Sweet aspects, that are by far not bad, but seems Weird to the style ( this type of sweetness, i assume it’s of dark sugar ) not bad at all, i’d drink it if it were local, but not something to seek out in specific. 0,33l bottle at home. BB 31.07.2016. black color, very small coffee colored head. smells of light sherry, spices, licorie, light caramel, light ash, hints of peat, some wood, creamy, some dark fruits. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes lightly sweet at first, spices, licorice, after a bit gets rather ashy and bitter, quite bitter a lot of coffee, coffee grounds, quite creamy though, some bitter chocolate, light dark fruits. quite nice long bitter / roasty finish with notes of coffee and light charcoal. overall good stuff, I find it just a tad imblanced on the taste (too roasty / bitter).

[ As Brokreacja The Gravedigger ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, alcohol, roasted, chocolate, sweet malt, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Very balanced. [20160205]

33cl bottle. Pours opaque black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee and liquorice. Taste of dark roasted malt, tons of liquourice, vanilla, good stuff!
