Clear ruby red colour, light pink head. Very sweet flavour, cherry syrup and cherry candy flavourings. Very sweet flavour, candy and sweeteners. Finish cherry esters. Not my style.

19/11/2011 33cl bottle @ Gentse Biervereniging: Brouwerij De Ryck op bezoek - BB: 8/13 (2011-650)

Clear ruby red beer, big pink head, stable, little adhesive. Aroma: metallic, little sour, very faint spicy, yeast. Doesn't smell as sweet as you would expect. MF: ok carbon, light body. Taste: very sweet, cloying. Not even cherries, just sugary, candy. Aftertaste: little bit of sour and more sweet sugar fest.

Bottle @ Benzai. Red colour with a head that behaves like a soda - instantly gone. Smells like ’ranja’, sweet, syrup. Tastes like syrup mixed with water and some carbo added. Fizzy carbo, very sweet aftertaste. Hardly beer.

Bottle @ home, shared with Dutchdrebus and Thompson. Light to medium red color, no head just a small lacing on top. Smell cherries, lemonade, cassis-like. Taste sweet, lemonade. Low carbo, low body.

Bottled (from beerplanet.eu). Hazy murky rubyish brown colour with small off-white/pinkish head. Aroma is tart cherries along with some sourish wooden notes. Flavour is maple syrup and cherries along with quite much burnt sugar.

Clear red with a medium pink head. Sweet aroma with cherries, almonds and wood. Flavour had plenty of cherries, almonds and cherry jam. Finished sweet. At least it wasn’t packed with almonds.

Bottle at ZBF09. Very weak aroma, I cannot detect any cherries or sourness at all. Hazy deep red colour. Small stable dark pink head. The flavour is very sweet, some marcipan and a little vitamin pill. The finish is dry, like sugarfree softdrink.

Bottled. Bright purple, minimal head. Saccharine aroma. Oversweetened artificial cranberry juice with rock hard mouthfeel. There is nothing even remotely enjoyable, and with it’s extreme sweetness it’s both unbalanced and awkward to drink. Drain pour.
