Stout vera, con massiccio uso di malti tostati e luppolatura muscolosa. Sentori di caffe’, liquirizia, cioccolata amara, lasciano poi spazio all’erbaceo persistente del luppolo. Una irlandese in Toscana!

Bottle. Aroma fruity, red berries, roasted. Clear dark brown colour. Taste is dry, lots of roasted, ashy, burnt. Lacks a bit of balance, not really easily drinkable. Rather average.

Bottled 330ml. -at Pivopija Beograd (Zemun). Almost black coloured, medium sized brown head, mild chocolate nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, mild hop bitterness but all in all pretty thin. Bitterish chocolate finish. Expected better.

At the Hair of the Dog mini-tasting. Served in a snifter. This Italian dark beer pours a dark brown/black with a foamy beige head. The nose is malty chocolate, savory with a slightly chalky nose. The taste is roasty, chocolate, milk chocolate pretty good. Solid but not so remarkable.

18/11/12 - 75cl bottle @ Horecaexpo (Gent) - BB: 26/I/14 (2012-1295)
Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very spicy, lavender, mint, bit yeasty, soapy, floral. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter, mocha, yeast, bit soapy, some metallic, hint of caramel. Aftertaste: very bitter and hoppy, mocha, soapy, little floral. Interesting and definitely different! Too bad it's not really good.

Tap at Open Baladin, Roma - 02/10/12. Mid black with a good tan head, plenty of lacing ensues. Lightly roasted malts on the nose, chocolate and dark toffee. Taste dominated by a solid roast malt profile allied to molasses, licqourice, dark chocolate and a puff of smoke. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and a smooth finish.
