Stout vera, con massiccio uso di malti tostati e luppolatura muscolosa. Sentori di caffe’, liquirizia, cioccolata amara, lasciano poi spazio all’erbaceo persistente del luppolo. Una irlandese in Toscana!

4th June 2010. Bottle. Cloudy dark brown beer. Little brown head. Crisp palate- very dry. Subtle chocolate and coffee are dominated by lightly smoked malt, Bitterish dry finish with the bitterness coming from the hop. Competant but found this too much like hard work.

Bottle, 6%. 1 year past BB date. Weak fruity aroma, slightly roasted, faintly yeasty. Cloudy very dark brown colour. Very small light brown head. The flavour has a little coffee, slightly citric. Weak lactic acidity, not so bad. Still good in spite of the BB date. Papery finish.
