The Moinette Bio* is a top fermentation, blond beer with refermentation in the bottle. It was created in 1990 and is, together with the Saison Dupont Bio*, one of the first two organic* beers. The Moinette Bio* has the combination of malt aromas, fruitiness and fine hops. It is very thirst-quenchening and strikes a fine balance between mellowness, fruitiness and bitterness. The long refermentation in the bottle ends up in a very complex beer. The production is being controlled by Certisys and has the label Biogarantie®.

Bottle at home. Hazy golden with warm hue, red yeast particles (oops) and a thin white head. Sweet malts, bread, sugar, honey, peach, banana, light licorice, lemon, grass. Over medium sweet, light bitter. Under medium body, soft carbonation. Bit aprupt vegetal bitter finish. Very yeasty. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Forêt Saison on 23 Dec 2017 at 13:38 - Score: 7. Pours a hazy amber from a bottle. Big funk in the nose, maybe a touch of light lemon and herbs/wildflowers. Flavor is rather sweet, still funky, again light lemon and herbs, a little boozy even though it’s not terribly big. Pretty good beer.

On tap @ La Cerveteca. A blurry looking golden one with a huge really lacing bright white head. Smells really good actually. Superb floral and kinda sweetish. Lots of white candied sugars and blue grapes. Nice. Tastes pretty nice also. It has a good oily feeling in the mouth and it's just above average on the bubbles. Kinda creamy in a way. More floral tones here. It's really easy to drink. Slightly sugary without being to sweet. Grapes and grape juice. Yeah, a solid Belgian all the way. 06.08.2014

750ml bottle from Mig’s Wines, Brussels. Cloudy, orange gold. Big, rocky, thick, bubbly, lasting, creamy white head. Looks just about perfect. Nose has barley sugar sweets. Custard malts. Flora. Taste is buttery, grainy sweet. Light bitter. Soft, foamy, smooth palate. Finishes a tad sweet, with minimal bitterness. Smells good. Looks great. A bit sweet. But £2.60 a bottle!

250ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity and spicy yeasty aroma, notes of apricot, peach, orange, mandarine, a touch of white pepper and bay leaf, mustard seed, some citrusy hop reinforces the orange and mandarine flavours. Taste is moderately sweet malty fruity, minimally tart and spicy, notes of apricot and peach, some mandarine and orange, a touch of brine and mustard seed, bay leaf; creamy palate, slightly prickling but non-disturbing carbonation, appropriately regulated to prevent stickiness without depletion of tastiness. Spicy Saison with sweetish, sirupy backing.

Rated as Dupon Fôret, Many thanks to Peter. Fresh fruity nose. The beer starts fruity with funky parts, spices and herbal parts. Nice.

Bottle from Drinkshop. High carbonation, clear orange colour, stable white head. Quite subtle and rounded flavours. Full bodied and very well balanced. Light hay, spiciness, barnyard, grassy. Very good, tasty, complex.
