The Moinette Bio* is a top fermentation, blond beer with refermentation in the bottle.
It was created in 1990 and is, together with the Saison Dupont Bio*, one of the first two organic* beers.
The Moinette Bio* has the combination of malt aromas, fruitiness and fine hops.
It is very thirst-quenchening and strikes a fine balance between mellowness, fruitiness and bitterness.
The long refermentation in the bottle ends up in a very complex beer.
The production is being controlled by Certisys and has the label Biogarantie®.

Licht troebel geel bier met schuim. Smaak is licht hoppig bitter, krachtig en blijft lang hangen. Bijzonder goed.

Bottled 250ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. Cloudy yellow/orange coloured, medium sized white head, weak yeasty nose. Moderate malty, yeasty, slight grainy and fruity with notes of spices and hops near the end. Drinkable but to be honest pretty boring BSA.

F: huge nice snow white long lasting foam. C: yellow orange hazy. A: malt, citrus, floral, hint of grass. T: a little sweet and floral hops, some earthy yeast, tropical fruit, grass, spices, very lively carbonation, medium body and at the end watery but anyway very refreshing good beer.

2 dedos de espuma efervescente. Dorada turbia. Final amargo. Notable.

250 ml bottle from Tanakaya. Poured into a stemmed tulip half-pint glass. Pours a deep gold almost light amber color with a modest white head that mostly dissipates but leaves a small thin coating on the beer. Aromas of wheat, yeast, pepper, arugula, nutmeg all present with some light barnyard. Taste is more of the same. Sweet on the palate with apricot and plum coming out as it warms up. The yeast flavor hangs around through giving it a bit of funkiness, but not so much. Must be a saison style yeast. Peppery, drying finish. Not as good as the Saison Dupont Biologique but still nice. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Forêt Saison on 29 May 2015 at 23:36 - Score: 7
