Bottle thanks to Ryan. Pours a hazy yellow with small white head. The aroma is dough, grape, wheat, citrus. Thin body, citrus, dough, wheat, light tartness, dry finish, good.

The beer is a pale tannish yellow. Clouded through. Smell to medium white head. Fairly fizzy. Fades to not much. The aroma is lemons, stone fruit and yogurty lacto sourness on top of a mild barrel character with light fruitiness. Some oak. It’s definitely wine barrel action but plays more of a supporting than starring role. Some wheaty, dough sweetness in there. Taste has firm acidity with a good bit of astringency. It’s probably a step harsher than I’d like but still quite good. Big on lemon, sour grapes and oak. Some mild funk gets in the mix. Lasting tart finish. Good bit of pucker. It’s better cold when the sourness hides a bit more. Solid berliner.
