A feisty fist indeed! A powerhouse blending of serious American hops, sour cherries and boozy warmth. Very fresh and distinct tastes, rich and smooth body and a sold blend.

Bottle, thanks Will. Aroma is urine, spice, tropical fruit, chilli. Chilli and piss! Big difference in taste, booze, cherries, mouth drying. Oak. Possibly the booze getting in the way got me a little.

330ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Bubbly white head, spotty lacing on the glassware, next to clear warm golden body. Ripe orange aroma. Mixed taste profile of grapefruit, caramel and juicy malts. Citrus peels to the ending. Warming and quite heavy to drink. Slow sipper qualities. (Rating session with Finn and djoeye, Tromsø 18.05.2017).

2016 catch up - Bottle at home - Holy cow! There was too much going on in the glass for me. The triple IPA flavour was there, but the whole thing was overloaded by the cherries, although they didn’t dominate the beer. It was too much of a jumble for me and I didn’t enjoy it. Nice to try, but not one to have again as it was, in my opinion, an experiment too far for Brewdog

Felt more like an average and quite boring barleywine.
Hazy deep golden color with a fine white head. Good lacing. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium to full body. Fine carbonation level and a bit oily texture. Dried fruit, toffee, some oak and mild citric. A bit unbalanced and not that well masked alcohol.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Dank hop aroma, some cat pee - do I detect a whiff of leathery Brett? It sure doesn’t taste like sour cherries. Rich, malty body, again some cat pee coming through leading up to a very boozy finish. Not the world’s most refined Imperial IPA, but somehow it works kinda decent. 201216
