(Keg at BrewDog Helsinki, 20160820) The beer poured mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had booze, sweetness and canned cherries. Palate was medium bodied and warming with rather high carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, canned cherries,  malts, booze and bitterness. Aftertaste was woody, boozy and bitter. A tough one to drink.

Pours rather clear blonde, small white head. Smell is hoppy, quite bitter. Taste is intense, marzepin. Hoppyness comes later and is quite good ( could use more intensity ) but the marzepin aspect seems to come from nowhere ( according to the ingredients ) and is very much not my taste. no trace of the cherry’s annymore.

330ml bottle from the Brewdog Online Shop. Pours clear golden amber with a thin, just off-white head. Aromas of citrus and pine, cherry and light vanilla. Stewed tropical fruit. Taste has more cherry about it, light woodiness, light booze heat. A dry bitterness offsets the sweetness well. Light boozy finish.

Bottle courtesy of Geraint cheers Geraint! consumed at home making Quesidallas, Thursday 4th August 2016 Wonderfully hoppy nose, a little sweet cherry, the oakiness (vanilla) is great. Soft, hoppy, tangy but bloody good, really, really nice. Shared with Barry but would have happily had this on my own. A8 A4 T8 P4 OV17 4.1

Bottled. Orangeish amber colour with a mediumsized white creamy head. Aroma is citrus, some nice fresh-pressed tropical fruit juice, sweet malts and mild alcohol to it. Flavour is fruity, floral and citrusy with some quite nice tart wooden and berryish notes to it. The alcohol is there, but suits the bitterness really well. Actually a quite balanced biggie this one!

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Bottle Shop Canterbury. Pours totally clear orangey gold with a foamy, off-white head. Really dank and juicy in the aroma, some ripening citrus, berries, pine, undertones of pale bread. Medium to big sweet flavour with moderate grassy and piney bitterness, some gooey resin and ripe orange, suggestions of tangy cherries and woody dryness, some mango and papaya. Full bodied and somewhat chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Fairly warming and gooey on the finish, just a tad sticky-sweet, with more melon, cherry, mango, papaya, orange, tangerine, resinous pine. Overall, this is quite fun stuff. The seemingly disparate elements come together well.
