Pale cognac colour; small, off-white rim. Stupendous aroma of aged oak, fusels, and old brandy - or calvados. esters and the right kind of oxydation - simply superb nose. Sharp, short alcohol taste, then clearly cidery, fruity, and again fusels & esters, including some solvent. Burning, sharp MF, alcoholwarming. Very impressive, with a nose of calvados all written over - then getting cidery. Something to do with all Golden Delicious, IMO. BIG thanks to the BIG man - as well as to Glenn for waiting!

750 ml. Golden body with fizzy white head, mostly diminishing. Pleasant and strong aroma of apple cider, wood, brandy, alcohol, spices and Juicy Fruit. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. It finishes moderately bitter and moderately sweet. Warming alcohol. Medium body, watery texture though verging on velvety. Spritzy carbonation. An interesting and enjoyable beer though the novelty started wearing off after 12 oz.

Bottled, thanks Marsblursi! Hazy golden, brief head. Calvados aroma. Sweet with a inpenetrable flavour wall of vanilla, wood, paper and alcohol. Solid spritzy malt . Oaky and warming with peppery alcohol ever present. Very interesting, not necessarily very good.

Bottle thanks to JB175. Pours with a largem white head and a hazy goldeen body Aroma of brandy, oak, apple and vanilla. Taste is strong brandy, apple, some spice and bread. Water like mouthfeel, warming, with lively bubbles.

Stark alkohlisch-prickelnder Antrunk, hell-malzig, sehr hopfig, dezent fruchtig nach Äpfeln, was in dem Chaos aber untergeht. Der Grundton des Bieres bleibt erhalten, der Hopfen schwindet, im Gegenzug wird das Bier cremig-malzig, es wirkt zu kräftig, unbalanciert. Im Abgang brennend, das Bier hat hier etwas von klarem Schnaps. Test vom 13.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: -,9,8,10,12,9 - 9,16

Pours hazy yellow with a small lacing white. Aroma is mild spiced, vanilla and caramel - almost classic triple aroma. Smooth and roasted caramel malty base flavour with a joining and lasting spiced finish.

Bottle.Unclear medium yellow orange color with a small, virtually none appearance, virtually none lancing, fully diminishing head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity - apple notes, moderate hoppy, alcohol - whisky. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle @ WSF 2008. Hazy orange with no head. Sweet with brandy, caramel and overripe fruits. Very vinous and somewhat boozy.

Courtesy of gunhaver. Pours murky golden-orange with chunks of sediment and an off white head. The aroma is fruitiness, barrel wood notes, tartness, a load of alcohol nose searing heat and dry brandy boozy hotness. The taste is tart and hot to start followed by fruitiness and a load of tartness along with a building alcohol and brandy booziness. It ends as pure grain alcohol from like a plastic bottle.

750ml bottle@Vero Beach Throwdown-pours a disappearing white head and gold color with brown tint. Aroma is citrus, alcohol, perfumy, spicy. Taste is citrus/apple, alcohol, perfumy, spicy/woody-brandy. Thanks mgumby10 for sharing. 121115-shared by Matt, thanks
