The Chimay Triple, which is the brewery’s most recent creation, is labelled “Cinq Cents” in 75 cl bottles. It was introduced in 1986 on the occasion of five hundred years of the principality of Chimay. It is the youngest of the Chimay beers.

a firm, creamy, long-lasting head. Strong aroma of hops and citrus. Also hops and citrus in the dry taste, combined with a slight tartness. Long hopbitter finish. A real, complex, trappist ale, maltier and easier to drink than Orval and Westmalle tripel. Re-rate from tap, Café de Nieuwe Roos Ootmarsum: I've boosted the rating from 3.8 to 4.3. Sweeter than the bottled version, almost honeyish, but with the raw hoppiness and the long lingering hoppy finish. Maybe the bottled version is a bit more complex, but the tap version has a much more appealing taste.

Beautiful light gold, huge head with big lasting lacy foam. Spicy caramel nose, almonds and raisins. Huge carbonation, raisiny fruitcake biscuit flavors with an elegant herbal bitterness that counteracts the 8% alc sweetness. Classic!

Slightly opaque, nice amber color, huge yellowish-white foam. Classic glass. The extract is visible in the direction of light. In a cup, the scent is first less felt under the big foam, later spicy, delicious. The taste is almost a citrus flavor bomb. Not like IPAs. Slightly sweet-champagne, muscat, pine, extremely tasty. Almost no alcohol. Admission to very good triple beers at an affordable price! Delicious, bitter, resinous, with super aftertaste!

Kissé opálos, szép borostyán szín, hatalmas sárgásfehér hab. Klasszikus üveg. Fény felé fordítva látszódik benne az extrakt. Kehelyben illata először kevésbé érződik a nagy hab alatt, később fűszeres, finom. Az íze szinte egy citrusos íz-bomba. Nem úgy mint az IPA-k. Picit édes-pezsgős, muskotályos, fenyős, rendkívül ízletes. Az alkoholt szinte nem is érezni. Elérhető áron a nagyon jó triple-sörök belépője! Finom, keserű, gyantás, szuper utóízekkel!
