The Chimay Triple, which is the brewery’s most recent creation, is labelled “Cinq Cents” in 75 cl bottles. It was introduced in 1986 on the occasion of five hundred years of the principality of Chimay. It is the youngest of the Chimay beers.

Bière pression bue à l'autrement dit à Lille. Robe dorée claire, mousse peu persistante. Nez agréable sur du houblon et la levure belge. En bouche, une triple typiquement belge, houblonnée et avec une amertume agréable. Je ne suis pas fan de triple mais celle-ci est très réussie, comme tout ce qui vient de l'abbaye de Scourmont !

Butelka. Pomarańczowe, opalizujące, z bujną czapą trwałej piany. W aromacie typowe brzoskwinie i przyprawy. W smaku nie jest wcale tak wytrawnie, słodycz w połączeniu z nieprzyjemną, intensywną goryczką sprawia, że piwo jest mdłe. Wysycenie wcale nie takie wysokie - co akurat jest dla mnie pozytywem. Odhaczone, dziękuję.

Re-rate based on the checklist, old score: 5/3/6/3/12=2,9 Smell-weak to medium, hops, hops, Belgian notes. Foam-thin, bitter, Belgian, acidic. Head is medium, white color, sticks. Appearance - a re-sealable bottle seems to be unique to beer. Clear-ish orange amber, some active carbonation inside. From- snifter Taste - weak Belgian tones, alcohol, bitter notes, hops. bitter aftertaste mixed with some alcohol, yeasty. I have it a second chance, but does not look like this is for me.
