Pours black with a very minimal dark tan head. Almost none. It smells of roast malt, chocolate, oak, booze, and apples. The flavor is sweet with big, intense chocolate malt, oak, coffee, apples. It’s full bodied. To me the fruity character isn’t strong or tart, but it’s noticeable. It works. Excellent beer.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with small tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong granny smith apple and brandy. Slick body, green apple, roast, cocoa, boozy finish, very good.
