Our citrusy and refreshing Berliner Weisse is a modern take on a true Berlin classic. Brewed using the same traditional lactic acid cultures as the Berlin brewers of the 1920's, our Berliner Weisse is a bright and sparkling thirst-quencher. The beer embodies the liveliness of summer with the fruity tang of lemon and melon, further complimented by the tartness of rhubarb and gooseberries. To ensure a properly Stone (and therefore iconoclastic) Berliner Weisse, we upped the ABV to a healthy 4.7% and hopped the beer with new German varieties, Huell Melon and Callista.

Can from Joes @ home shared by Ansjelaah. Hazy pale yellow with a small white head. Smells sour diarrhea, sour, sour fruits. Tastes sour, fruity, kinda nice. Glad it doesn't taste like sour diarrhea. Thin to medium body, nice carbo.

On tap at Fakin Zagreb. Unclear yellow coloured, small white head, tartish lemony nose. Weak salty, acidic lemony and fresh fruity with touch of grapes and pleasant sourish finish. Easy drinkable.

On tap at Fakin Craft Bar, pours a hazy blonde with a huge foamy white head. Aroma brings out lots of lacto upfront, with a little citrus. Flavour is loaded with ascorbic citrus, with a wallop of lacto. Way too ascorbic, but fun enough.

On tap at Fakin. Yellow body, white head. Classic aroma, lacto, salty, light berry touches. Nice, perfectly balanced tart taste, light saltiness, quite lemony, soft and perfumey. Herbal in a way at times. The finish borders on astringent but never crosses the line. A classy, tasty, underrated and very well executed Berliner!

Can. Pours slightly hazy pale straw with profuse, stable white head. Clear vinous aroma with spicy and estery touches and touches of fruit. Sour flavour with estery and passion fruit notes and touches of old cheese. Ditto aftertaste. Decent but the body is a little too thin.

Can, 4.7%. Faint citric aroma, perhaps a little vomity. Hazy pale yellow colour. Very big and quite stable white head. The flavour is nicely sour and also nicely fruity. Has a lactic sourness and a mango or passion fruit fruitiness.

Has a good peach aroma with some grapfruity crisp citrus. Good heavy cream fog in the glass but just a tiny little bit of head. Flavour is soft citrus with a hint of lemon. Acidic for sure. A little watery and could use more presence. A nice beer of its style, would work well with fatty foods. Now I gotta go find some bacon.
