Our citrusy and refreshing Berliner Weisse is a modern take on a true Berlin classic. Brewed using the same traditional lactic acid cultures as the Berlin brewers of the 1920's, our Berliner Weisse is a bright and sparkling thirst-quencher. The beer embodies the liveliness of summer with the fruity tang of lemon and melon, further complimented by the tartness of rhubarb and gooseberries. To ensure a properly Stone (and therefore iconoclastic) Berliner Weisse, we upped the ABV to a healthy 4.7% and hopped the beer with new German varieties, Huell Melon and Callista.

0.33l can. Malty aroma, yeast, wheat, acidic notes. Hazy yellow color, white head. Taste is the same as aroma, medium sour. Light body, thin texture, average to fizzy carbonation and malty sour finish. Good.

Can at Raj piva. Quite clean version of the classic style. Sourness is moderate-light, overall intensity as well. Easy drinking right out of the can. Good one.

Can from Gulating. Unclear yellow golden body with a fast disappearing white head. Aroma is fruity with hint of lemon, minerals and yogurt. Flavor is like a pretty standard BW that's rather dry/sour and with more minerals/salt than expected, almost closer to a Gose actually. Medium to light bodied with a decent but salty acidic aftertaste. Nice and refreshing but feels a bit anonymous or might just have lost some of the claimed hop flavor.

Can from Dranken Geers, Oostakker.
Pours hazy pale yellow with a big, frothy, white head. The aroma contains lemon, orange peel, grapefruit, yoghurt & lactic acid, yeast, sourdough, lemongrass - all in all somewhat soapy and perfumey. It tastes light fruity sweet and medium to heavy lactic sour; light hoppy and 'tonic-like' bitter into the tart, bready/wheaty finish. Medium body, slick/watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Good take on a classic style.
