Our citrusy and refreshing Berliner Weisse is a modern take on a true Berlin classic. Brewed using the same traditional lactic acid cultures as the Berlin brewers of the 1920's, our Berliner Weisse is a bright and sparkling thirst-quencher. The beer embodies the liveliness of summer with the fruity tang of lemon and melon, further complimented by the tartness of rhubarb and gooseberries. To ensure a properly Stone (and therefore iconoclastic) Berliner Weisse, we upped the ABV to a healthy 4.7% and hopped the beer with new German varieties, Huell Melon and Callista.

Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Dry lactic aroma. Light-bodied. Acidic, lactic, limey flavour. Some dish cleanser in the finish. Basic Berliner Weisse who cries for Himbeere.

0,33l can from Stockmann, Tallinn. Hazy yellow pour with initially quite fluffy white head. That comes down within a few minutes and leaves just a thin layer covering the liquid. Tart, fruity nose, quite full on tartness, not watery at all. Taste is sour and tart as its supposed to be, good light melon and bit of citrus fruits in the background. Superbly refreshing - and I do like it's full body (for the style I mean). This one is really nice, I can see myself drinking quite a lot of it in the days to come.
