Our citrusy and refreshing Berliner Weisse is a modern take on a true Berlin classic. Brewed using the same traditional lactic acid cultures as the Berlin brewers of the 1920's, our Berliner Weisse is a bright and sparkling thirst-quencher. The beer embodies the liveliness of summer with the fruity tang of lemon and melon, further complimented by the tartness of rhubarb and gooseberries. To ensure a properly Stone (and therefore iconoclastic) Berliner Weisse, we upped the ABV to a healthy 4.7% and hopped the beer with new German varieties, Huell Melon and Callista.

Tap at the Liberty Station venue. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma of lightly sour apricot. Med body. Flavor is moderately, not harmful, sour. Mostly apricot. Might be a touch of melon. Pretty dry. Bitter isn’t in it. Good, approachable sour.

Can. A lightly foggy yellowish golden colored beer with a foamy two-finger head. The aroma is fruity and milky-sourish, with a touch of dough with cardamom, some grass and white bread. Some lemony, lime-ish hints too. It's rather effervescent on the palate, medium bodied and dry, with a tart, sourish flavor. Both fruity-sour, milky-sour and dough-ish, with some bready malt in the back. Sort of fruity too, melon-ish perhaps, due to the hops used, but it isn't melon that my brain interpret the signals from my tastebuds as. Medium length grapefruity and sourish finish. A bit heavy on the carbonation perhaps, but it's sure a pleasant, quenching and interesting beer anyway. 180901

0.33l can from pivný raj. Hazy yellowish color with low white head. Aroma: tart, citrus fruit - lemon, lime. Taste: bit watery, tart, bit of wheat. Light bodied, moderately to lively carbonated, light bitterness. Drinkable and fine.

(tap @ Frisches Bier, Munich) Hazy, pale golden colour with a blond and firm foamy head of medium size. Citric and floral hoppy aroma with zesty notes, lactic hints and a sourish wheathy background. Sour and delicately salty flavour, light bodied with a soft carbonation. Sour wheaty base with delicately lactic accents, citric hops; quite dry and sour towards the finish. Nice one. 16.VII.18

Can, 0.33l. Cloudy yellow pour, half finger soapy white head. Short lasting, minimal lacing. Interesting nose, orange peel, grapefruit, citrus tart, quite sour and fruity. Thin body, medium carbonation, a bit prickly. Light mouthfeel, watery texture. Fruity sour taste. Aroma if grapefruit, lemon, lime. Citric acid, some herbal notes. Mild vegetable aftertaste. Lots of fruity tart. Short to medium finish, sour aftertaste. Overall, ok brew. Feels a bit like radler at times. Simple and straightforward, worth a try if you like sour beers.

lattina 33 cl, schiuma bianca media persistenza, colore giallo torbido, al naso agrumi cereali e un sentore di zolfo, in bocca sopra di tutto limone e in generale agrumi, leggero salato, carbonatazione leggera, corpo leggero, acidità accentuata, amaro quasi assente. E’ la mia prima Berliner Weisse, davvero particolare siamo quasi all'eccesso con l'acidità ma nel complesso mi è piaciuta. 26.08.18

330ml can from trade with Dunklmessias. Many thanks! Pours misty pale yellow, no head. Aroma has a light funky lemon mix. Taste continues in a similar fashion, good crisp citrussy funk action. Nicely rounded, balanced, good drinkability.
