We made gold-fair, clear degustatiebier of 7,2°. it is of barley malt, leaven, water and of course Poperingse hops composed. What concerns the taste, is the first what the presence of a large hop bitterness is notable.

On tap at the Palace Hotel, Poperinge, West Flanders, Belgium, 26-06-07 Large white cushion of a head on this golden beer. Good hop and malts, quite tasty. Started as a bit of a joke apparently that got a bit out of hand which then forced them into producing a beer.

Deep golden colour; small, fast disappearing head. Alcoholic, toasted, if it is parsley, I’d surely venture pan-fried parsley. Corn, cornflakes, toasted malts. Distinct, if discreet, sweetness, but pretty little else. Medium bodied at best. Toasted flavour, (maybe strengthened by the alcohol) the only one being obvious (where our German raters found those hops, is a mystery to me), keeps going on... Disconcertingly characterless beer for this brewery. What the hell was the point? A touch more alcohol?

Draught at the Palace in Poperinge. Released just the day before, so only two places have this on draught in Poperinge. Poured a clear blonde with white head. The aroma was very hoppy spicy malt. Taste was strong hoppiness and malty harvest like with a slight metal finish.
