Pint can pours with a deep dark mahogany colored body that supports a full deep tan head of foam. The aroma offers up malts, a bit of roasted malts, leading to chocolate blended with a molasses date like note. The taste delivers smooth chocolate malts, chocolate sweetened dark roasted malts a bit of molasses sweetness and then a muted sweet date like sensation. This comes together nicely. I'd prefer a bit of sweet dark grape jaminess to round out the experience. Nice offering.

Can from Ale Arsenal - part of a 6 pack bought by my Dad for our annual All-Star Game bet. Go American League! Aroma of chocolate, toffee and moderate roast. I got a bit of snickers bar....my wife go Jamocca Almond Fudge ice cream....and she is usually right. Pours black with small brown highlights. Dark, creamy tan head that lingers throughout, collecting in bunches around the edges and with a small cap over the top. Flavor is chocolate and caramel, with a moderate high roast on the finish. Slight ash. Sweetness and cold pressed coffee. Sweetness retains well after the taste. Slight cola flavor.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours a really dark clear brow with orange glints and a moderate creamy tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, dark malt and hints of smoke or chocolate. Med plus body. Flavor matches the aroma. I'm finding definite smoke - course that could be something else, but what? Mouth smacking. I'm not getting much chocolate tho. For me it's extremely delicious.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours black with a small beige head. Nose brings out vanilla, toasted malt and a little cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, with light vanilla, some cocoa and toasted malt. Rich and wonderfully balanced - it's certainlt not too sweet. Excellent.
