Crowler from the brewery, 9.15.20. Hazy copper large frothy tan head good retention. Aroma of caramel, cherry, hints of smoke. Taste is toffee, smoke, molasses, dark cherry. Full bodied. Could use a bit more smoke.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with small beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is roast, wood, peat. Medium body, cocoa, smoke, lingering dry finish, very good.

Sample at the CCBW Six One Pour festival on 05/20/2017. Clear dark amber color with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of smoked malt, caramel and fruit. Light to medium body with flavors of charred malt, smoked meat and fruit. The finish is smoky with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
