Muffin Top combines the attributes of a Belgian Tripel with a huge burst of American hops. Intense flavors from the Belgian yeast, reminiscent of candied fruits, mix with the hop bitterness and sweet orange peel to create a unique take on a Belgian-Style ale.

Bottled@SBWF2014. Deep golden colour with a mediumsized fluffy/foamy white head. Aroma is yeasty (spicy) with some sweet malts, mild zestiness as well as some slight hints of alcohol. Flavour is quite similar, with a bunch of citrus and some bitterness to it.

Bottle. Poured a hazy dark golden color with a fluffy white head. Aroma was yeast, light sweet fruits, with some notes of caramel and toffee. Flavor was malts, light spice notes, some candi notes. Alcohol flushes the cheeks and warms the face pretty quickly.

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Hazy golden color with large compact head. Some aroma of American/Belgian yeast, lightly fruity, but also with very light vegetables. Good body strength; malt flavor, moderately sweet, with quite some character from the yeast (some fruit, spice, but also vegetable), strong bitterness, and generous hopping (fruity and resiny).
A good beer, but nothing amazing; and "Belgian" doesn’t blend well with "Triple IPA".
Nothing to justify the high price tag (therefore, one point less).

Bottle. Almost clear deep amber liquid with medium off-white bead. Aroma of lemon peel, belgian yeast esters, red berries, pine, grapefruit, toffee, raw sugar and light booze. Taste is very light sweet and medium bitter with notes of grapefruit, toffee and fruity esters. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Quite good.

650 ml bottle. Pours amber with moderate head. Aromas of resiny pine, toffee, and toasted malts. Flavors of caramel, orange juice, sweet malts, and pine. Not much Belgian as hops are very prominent, but still very nice.

Total Wine, Delaware 650ml: Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is a whole lot of frutiness, a hefty dosage of spiciness, a good bit of booziness, and plenty of hops. In the taste, this is, to my mind, a pretty accurate combination of a tripel. There is a lot of fruitiness and more than enough sweetness. The hops are there, but they are not particularly bitter. Body is a little on the thicker side. Pretty good.

Smak och doft av humle, jäst, citrus, grapefrukt, granskott, nektarin, apelsin med toner av örter. Fruktig, en aning juicekänsla, tydlig beska med smak av citrusskal, granskott och grapefrukt.

Keg @ Brewdog Sheffield. Never described a beer as delectable before. This is delectable. Orange marmalade, spice, lemon rind and strong resinous alcohol flavours. Very nice.
