Muffin Top combines the attributes of a Belgian Tripel with a huge burst of American hops. Intense flavors from the Belgian yeast, reminiscent of candied fruits, mix with the hop bitterness and sweet orange peel to create a unique take on a Belgian-Style ale.

Keg at Brewdog aka Queuedog AGM, AECC Aberdeen, 21/06/14. Murky orange amber with a light beige head that retains well. Nose is citric peel, light minerals, yeast esters, candied sugars, bitter orange, caramel, light spice. Taste comprises caramel, dark fruit rinds, light yeast, candyfloss, prunes, dates. Medium + body, fine carbonation, light booze in the close. Decent enough Belgian strong - good bitter/sweet balance.

Keg at BD AGM. It pours hazy deep amber with a small white head. The nose is sweet, doughy, candy, spice, earthy, wood and dried fruits. The taste is sweet, candy, booze, toast, spice, brown sugar, varnish, leather, wood and orange muffin with a warming finish. Full body and fine carbonation. A bit hot and boozy if truth be told.

22 oz. bottle from Julioโs Liquors. Amber color with bubbly, spider web lacing. Aroma is candy sugar and yeast with an undertone of floral hops.
Flavor shows grapefruit, stone fruit and caramel upfront. The base has a strong amount of malt in the body to make that huge ABV level. As it warms the hops kind of take over and show the floral, citrus and a touch of resin. The 10.5% ABV is really well hidden and has to be respected. Because after drinking 11 oz. I could really feel it. Really nice flavor that will sneak up on you. Nice stuff.

Bottled @Mikkeller STHLM (although it was on taplist)
Clear deep amber color, small steady off-white head. Rye, citrus and overriped mango in the nose. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, stickyness, pine, pineapple, mango and then bitterness and some alcohol. Sweet, somewhat American hoppy with some Belgian-style fruityness. Nice strong brew.

Keg at Brewdog Shepardโs bush. Light amber orange in colour with a thin lasting off white head. Aroma is sweet lime and orange opal fruit, surburt and light dried fruits. Very strange for a BSA. Flavour is full nutty biscuit sweet malt, orange peel and firm rounded bitterness in the finish. Palate is lovely and full silky smooth. Slight tanin in the finish. Low Belgian character.

Bottle. Yeast and bready caramel malt aroma. Amber with moderate head. Sweet fruitcake, malt and alcohol flavor. Mildly bitter herbal finish. A bit rough but not bad.
