Bottle: Cloudy, orange-amber with a thin white ring. Bready, fruit, orange-peel aroma. Taste is strong, peel bitter. Orange malt, fairly noticeable alcohol bittering at finish.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a cloudy, bright, a bit reddish, orange appearance with a lasting cream colored head. Big candy / bubblegum, bright tropical fruity, grapefruity, lemon, a bit dank, light banana aroma. Fairly sweet, passion fruit, grapefruit, mango, Smarties, a bit tangy flavor with some herbal / floral elements on the finish. Kind of an interesting beer that is surprisingly easy to drink.

Sample at Bob’s Bar. Pours a cloudy amber-gold color with a medium thin light beige head that dissipates gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, yeast and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of earthy yeast, citrus and floral hops. The finish is sweet with a clove and yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Tap at Sugar Maple. Unfiltered orange-tan. Foamy, lacy off-white head. Hot damn, that’s a good Belgian IIPA, maybe one of the best I’ve had. Smooth and clean, heavy on the tropical tones. World Class, this is quite phenomenal. Rich and big, but sublime lemon -lime tones. Beastly, like a good Belgian should be. Spot on.

Growler from J.U.G.S. Caramel color, with a big, tan head. The aroma is rye, big caramel and malts, light resinous hops, bananas, and light spiciness. The flavor is sweet and malty, with a pretty hefty hop bitterness. Heavy body, sticky, and chalky and malty. Overall, this is a very strong, very malty, and very hoppy beer. The balance and palate is lacking, unfortunately.

Hazy deep amber beer with a big fluffy pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth but with fine prickly carbonation. Light creamy malt. Mild minerals. Sweet malt but with a bitterish yeast. Slightly resinous tangerine and orange. Finishes semi dry with a mild peel bitter linger. Comes together quite well. Drinkable.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear honey coloured pour with creamy off white head, fruity and piney hop aroma, quite pine hop forward for a Belgian style, quite sweet oranges, a hint of bitterness, some caramel, really impressed with this.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/3/2013. Pours lightly cloudy bright orange amber color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of orange zest, lemon zest, grapefruit, tangerine, pear, banana, clove, floral, grass, pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, light bubblegum, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop, malt, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of orange zest, grapefruit, lemon zest, tangerine, pear, banana, clove, floral, grass, pepper, light pine, honey, light caramel, light bubblegum, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, light fruit, banana, clove, pepper, floral, grass, honey, light caramel, light pine, light bubblegum, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity and balance of hop, malt, and yeast ester flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a lightly slick and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice imperial Belgian IPA. All around nice balance and complexity of hop, malt ,and yeast ester notes; and very smooth to sip on for 10%. A very enjoyable offering.

Tap. Pours a hazy deep orange color with a thick lasting head and extensive lacing. Aromas of orange peel, apricot?, and pine resin. Taste is a bit sweet, but HOPS are the backbone of this; piney resinous hops. Medium bodied with a bit of a syrupy mouthfeel and a dry, bitter finish. Hides the alcohol pretty well for being 10ABV. An interesting take on the whole Belgian IPA thing.
