Pancake - Black Currant Bourbon

On tap at Pips Meadery, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small purple head. Aroma is rich, with tons of currant, cinnamon, maple syrup, honey nectar and a touch of vanilla beans � maybe a touch confused. Flavour is intense, with the jammy currant upfront, accentuated by liver cinnamon and maybe a hint of the vanilla. I don�t get the maple syrup. Very rich; the currant provides just enough tartness to balance the sugar. This one�s maybe a tad over the top and uncoordinated in comparison to their others; that said, it�s still fantastic.

Bottle thanks to Steven. Pours a dark purple with small pinkish white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong currant, marshmallow fluff, honey, bourbon, oak, maple syrup. Slick body, jammy, similar flavors to nose, hides alcohol well, enjoyed this.
