New rating 4/16 - at mad mex atwood. Pale yellow, mild perfumy ipa aroma. Yes, quite mild and fairly sweet fer sure, but not in a cloying way, more like ice cider sweetness. Finally a beer that is not trying to be aan IPA and I like that attitude, just a well amde APA fer sure, nice job alpine. Not sure how the previous version I had at brixton was so different. OLD: Finally got to try this. At brixton. Clear pale yellow. Not much aroma. Does have a medium high bitter content. Builds. Begins to border on ipa. Just plain old American style ale, heheh, with all the typical ale attributes, none are overdone.

Small shaker showing moderately filtered honey colors. The nose shows light pine. Flavors are malt forward, lager-like, very slight hop kick at the end.

Draft pour pint at Special Brews. Pours a clear golden copper color with a foam head. Mild grainy aroma. Flavor is surprisingly light with just hints of bready malt and citrus hop flavor. A little watery. Beer isn’t bad, but it’s hard to not compare to their other beers I’ve recently been introduced to. A little plain, and maybe a little less flavorful than the typical pale, but I can’t say I didn’t enjoy this.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark golden color with a large foamy white head that left great lacing. The aroma was faintly fruity with mild notes of pine and citrus. The flavor was pine, citrus, tangy grapefruit and was somewhat bitter. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.
