Our namesake ale represents everything a good, well balanced pale ale should be: malty but not to sweet, refreshing but not too bitter, full-bodied but not too heavy, lively but not over carbonated. A clean, everyday beer that leaves your palate begging for more. 1.054 OG 32 IBU 5.5%ABV

Draught at the Toronado, San Diego. Almost clear, light amber/golden liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of citrus, biscuit, earthy hops, cereal and bread. Taste is dry and medium bitter with notes of earthy hops and biscuit. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Bry!

Received in trade from TexIndy, Thanks for the opportunity. Pours a clear deep golden bordering on amber with a two finger off white head that sticks around for a bit before impaling itself to the sides of the glass. Smells of citrus and caramel mostly, slight hint of bread and dark dried fruit in there as well. Taste is more malt than hop. Bready and caramel malts up front mixed with a bit of grapefruit midway and a lingering sweet malt finish that is semi dry. Medium to thin body, Resinous almost creamy mouthfeel. Medium level of carbonation. I enjoyed this one a bit. Great session ale.

It’s fine but nothing special. The aroma is light caramel with floral/citrus hop notes. The hops are restrained. Mildly sweet with a sourish bitter hop twang. It’s easy to drink and the mouthfeel is good - average carbonation with a slightly chalky tone in the finish - but it doesn’t really stand out from the enormous pack of APAs. It’s not bad, just kinda generic, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Cloudy orange with a medium to large off white head. Aroma had hops, pale malt and fruity notes. Flavour was dry and hoppy with pale malt, grapefruit and hints of pine. Finished dry and bitter. Good drinkability.

Bottle from South Bay Drug. Light copper color with a frothy white head. Nice floral hop aroma over light roast malt. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is floral and malt. Balanced. Very tasty. Could be a hint of citrus. Light on the malt.

Pours with a large, rocky, off-white head covering a clear golden body. Aroma of floral hops and some malts. Taste is lightly malty, but very watery with some slight citrus bitterness. Dry mouthfeel, light bodied with some bubbles. Good with food, but not too interesting by itself.

Draught Orange beer with small white head. Flowery nose, hops abundant. Dry, straightforward hoppiness. No explosion but just a good punch. Tangering peel. Slightly burning MF, very slight tartness. A good, if inadventurous APA.

Bomber from cbkschubert; Nose of citrusy hops, caramel, and yeast; Urine yellow color with an absolutely huge yellowish head; flavor of mild hop bitterness, caramel, and some sugary sweetness. Good, but not great!

22 oz bomber. Golden color with nice creamy off white head. The aroma was sweet maltiness with solid citrus hops. The flavor is much like the aroma. Some sweet malts that go nicely with the citrus/grapefruitiness hops. Very nice west coast Pale but nothing to write home about.
