Can shared at the CBJ tasting, picked up from Craft Central.ie online, 12/06/24. Black topped with a khaki cap that thins to the edge. Nose is chocolate, peanut butter, dark malts, charr, roasted tones. Taste comprises brown sugar melt, peanut butter brittle, chocolate, spice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light boost. Tidy PNB impy ... kept in check and doesn't run overly sweet.

Can from Friar Tuck, Crestwood. Opaque black with ring of head, nice viscosity and trace lacing. Aroma is strong peanuts, mildly tart lactose. Taste is strong peanuts, roasted malt, mild tart element. Smooth texture, full bodied, average carbonation, no sign of alcohol and finish as taste. Good strength of peanuts in aroma and flavor but, on positive note, base stout is present but, on negative note, mild tart note from lactose or peanuts that is unwelcome.

16 oz. Can shared by tfontana, thanks Tom! Aroma has a very mild sour hint under the chocolate. Flavor has chocolate, weak vanilla, and a weak lactose sourness. This isn’t totally spoiled but… not only does the sour hint not belong, it also throws off the nice flavor that was here. Meh.

Bottle shared at CBJ - Bermondsey. Cheers! Pours clear, deep black-brown with a bubbly, tan head. Medium sweet flavour with notes of oily chocolate, booze, burnt peanuts, a little ashy roast, charred toffee. Full bodied, lightly gooey, with fine carbonation. Hot finish, more burnt nuts, roast, sugary chocolate. Punchy stuff but not cloying. Enjoyable.

Bottleshare at CBJ, Can, thanks to Cloin. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth if slightly thin dark malts. Decent if mellow dark chocolate. A little vanilla. Some mild peanut savouryness. Light finish.

Rated at Pien Shop. Sweet, roasty and creamy with massive amounts of lactic notes, some peanut butter and nutty chocolate notes. Too much lactose here.
