We brewed a dextrinous wort with raw wheat and flaked oats over a base of TexMalt San Jacinto 2-Row and Wildfire Pale Malt. We then pitched our mixed culture in stainless steel with a bio-trans dry hop of Ekuanot and Amarillo. Following primary, we refermented the beer with fresh, hand-juiced Dancy Mandarins & Hamlin Oranges from Orange Blossom Farm in Utopia, Texas west of San Antonio. We then dry hopped the beer two more times with Ekuanot and Sabro cryo.
This ode to Texas citrus has notes of Orangina, mimosa, honeysuckle, orange blossom perfume, Painkiller cocktail, and Lacto-fermented orange marmalade.

4oz pour at Ridgewood. Pours clear blonde with white head. Aroma has some saison yeast and an earthy character. Flavour has saison yeast, moldy citrus. This is fine.

On tap at RidgeWood, pours a hazy bright golden with a medium white head. Aroma has plenty of citrusy hops, Belgian yeast, and farmhouse funk. Flavour is fruity, with lots of Belgian yeast, stone fruits, and big citrusy hops. Reasonably mix of Belgian yeast and citrusy hops. Solid.

750ml bottle. Opalescent, orange, pale golden colour with average to huge, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Mildly bretty, funky and fruity hoppy aroma, somehow raw, rustic, grainy malty background, hints of mandarine, bubblegum, woody, oaky overtones. Taste is slightly grainy malty with some residual sweetness, slightly dry, mildly bretty, funky yeasty and slightly fruity hoppy, minimally woody, hints of mandarine and bubblegum, a touch of oak, mild zesty bitterness. Slightly oily, watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Mild funkiness, quite some subtleties, fairly refreshing - decent.
