Extensively hopped and dry hopped with a big roster of hops – Simcoe, Centennial, Cascade, Ahtanum, Chinook, and Amarillo – it’s big, bright, and floral, with just enough malt to balance. This American-style I.P.A. stands head and shoulders above its hoppy brethren, blending pale and honey malts to balance the palate without interfering in your herbal reverie, and creating a new American classic.

Tap at Julian’s, Providence. It pours cloudy golden - orange with a thick white head. The nose is fresh, orange, bergamot, mango, honeysuckle, white bread and sherbet. The taste is crisp, bitter, grassy, orange peel, red grapefruit, mango and kumquat. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Crisp, juicy and well - rounded. Nice one.

Can, at Pour Judgement, Rhode Island. Orange colored and a small white head. Herbal, citrus aroma with pale malts and a touch of bread. It’s dry on the palate, softly carbonated and quite dry. Herbal bitter and lightly citrusy flavor with a nice bitterness that lasts. Not my favorite this one, too herbal, but far from bad. 150607

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home while making dinner on a nice late spring evening. Appearance is a lightly cloudy gold with a rich and frothy white head. Aroma is a nice blend of citrus, floral, grassy hops, smells great. Taste is pretty good, light bitterness, enjoyable finish, could definitely enjoy multiples of this one.

Can to nonic pint glass. No date.
The appearance was a soft hazy burnt yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated to a foamy lumpiness of lace. Light stringy rings weave around the glass.
The smell has a nice floral to bitter sticky citrus to slight piney hops.
The taste combines the sweet with the bitterness of the pine nicely. A dry citrus aftertaste leads to a quick dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed good for the style and for me as there’s enough bitterness from the hops to still allow the level of harshness to be good for the style.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good AIPA that I could have again.

Pale yellow good creamy head. Aroma is nice. Wheat, papaya and orange. Taste, creamy sparkling water, the hops are very intense, good bitterness but maybe a little cheesy. Not a huge fan of this one but would love to have it fresher.

Location: 12 oz can from Nikki's Liquors, 5/10/15
Aroma: It has a decent hop aroma, with some citrus, floral notes, pale malts and light pine needles
Appearance: A somewhat cloudy orange color with a thick foam of white head and heavy lacing
Flavor: Pretty clean flavor, a little sweetness, floral and citrus mid-palate, piney mid-bitter finish
Palate: The body is medium, smooth and clean feel, soft carbonation, and a mid-dry finish
Overall Impression: This is a solid IPA. I liked the aroma and flavor well enough, but it isn't a standout. It is a plenty decent canned IPA.
