After our release of Planter's House, we fell in love with gin barrel-ing our tart beers, so we selected one of our favorites, Bière du Pays, and filled two gin barrels. We let the mature Bière du Pays rest for 10 months in these soft, red wine gin barrels. As Bière du Pays is a lively, youthful and refreshing beer, we tried to integrate a very delicate amount of gin botanicals and additional oak character, creating a roundness that complimented and did not distract from the beauty of the base beer.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden with paperthin head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong gin, rosemary, funk, earth, citrus, mineral. Slick body, funky, gin, rosemary, juniper, mineral, nice tartness, enjoyed this.
